Following the reveal of Prey at E3 2016 and that very intriguing and exciting first trailer, fans have been curious as to when they can get their hands on the game and explore the alien infested Talos I. Bethesda have answered out prayers and quelled our appetite by officially announcing the release date for this highly anticipated sci-fi adventure.
Prey will be officially released worldwide on Friday the 5th of May 2017, on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
Bethesda was also kind enough to release a brand new trailer for the game, which makes us salivate over the wait for release.
A number of brand new screen shots of the game were also released, which can be seen below.
Fans who pre-order Prey will receive the exclusive Cosmonaut Shotgun Pack. The pre-order bonus consists of Morgan Yu’s family heirloom Margrave shotgun and tools to fight threats aboard Talos I including: three Neuromods players can spend to acquire new abilities, two Med kits, a Fabrication plan to create the Shotgun and Ammo, a starter kit for building tools and weapons, and a unique upgrade to help players preserve their limited resources.
Pretty much a small boost to the start of the game that will make the opening sections that little bit easier. Hopefully this will not be too overpowered and become somewhat obsolete after a while, to make the game consistently difficult and enjoyable.
The question that’s burning on my mind is why I’m using so many hunger reference when describing the wait for this game, but the real question is what do YOU think about the reveal of the Star Wars title? Do you think we will get a trailer before celebration? Let me know in the comment below, or hit me up on Twitter at any time.
