Wolverine 3 Title and Poster Revealed!

The next installment to the X-Men franchise ‘Wolverine 3’ will hit cinemas in little under 5 months, and until now it was known as just that, ‘Wolverine 3’. The beautiful man that is Hugh Jackman however has changed this by revealing the first poster for the next Wolverine movie and giving us the long awaited title, Logan.

It has been rumoured for a while that this Wolverine movie would be an adaptation of the insanely popular comic run ‘Old Man Logan’, and although they can’t adapt the story exactly due to supporting characters from other movie studios, I have faith that this will be given the movie treatment that it deserves. This poster, and name, pretty much confirms that this will be Fox’s take on Old Man Logan, where we see a much older and much more grizzled Wolverine come out of retirement for one last job.

Now I’ll be honest, I don’t LOVE the name. I like it, but I think I was expecting something a little different. I was hoping that the title would just be Old Man Logan or something of that nature, but perhaps this is Fox’s attempt at completely separating their movies from the comics books in a bid to avoid any confusion over why certain characters aren’t and can’t be in the movie.

The actual poster though, that I love and it does make me all that more excited for this movie when it hits cinemas in March of next year. The small child holding Logan’s hand is more than likely going to be X-23, a clone of Wolverine that turns out to be truly devastating. I won’t spoil much more of the character or of Old Man Logan for that matter, but if you want to be clued up before the movie you should now take this opportunity.

What I want to know is, what do YOU think about this poster and the title for the next Wolverine movie? Let me know in the comments below or hit me up on Twitter, let’s talk movies!
