Okay so take this information with a massive grain of salt, and I apologise in advance if this is something that is either public knowledge and I’ve just been living under a giant rock, or something that has been debunked as rumour, but I saw this over the weekend and just had to write about it. So, has Giant-Man been confirmed for Captain America: Civil War?
So just like a lot of movie leaks and information, this potential spoiler comes in the form of LEGO. I know in the past that LEGO sets can take liberties when it comes to characters or scenes from popular movies (just look at scuba Iron Man and Scuba Captain America in the latest batch of bundles released) but at the same time some sets have been pretty accurate and spot on prior to a movie release, so there is always the chance that this information turns out to be true, but over the weekend when I was casually browsing my local LEGO store I came across this set. Now as no one has seen the movie as of yet, we cannot say whether this is the exact scene from the movie, but it does very closely resemble the battle we see in the trailer, you know the one where each side runs towards each other, and then the one where Spider-Man beautifully shows his webbed face? Yeah that one.
The second picture gives us a full view of the set and who we can expect to be building, with what movie the scene is drawn from in the bottom right corner, the norm with all LEGO superhero sets. It is oddly similar to the scene we see in the trailer, with some of the big players making an appearance, and we do know that Scott Lang is in this part of the movie, and on the right team, so it wouldn’t be a huge surprise should be have been working on something in between movies and now has the ability to become Giant-Man. It may not be much of a surprise, but it sure would be super cool, and is something I can see the Russo brothers and Marvel keeping under wraps, as out attention is kept with Spider-Man and everything else this movie is throwing at us. Again take this with a massive grain of salt, and again I’m not saying this is completely confirmed or for definite, but something I wanted to share with the sweaty community, but what do you think? Do you think this will be the case, and if so are you happy or excited to see this, or perhaps quite the opposite? Let me know in the comments below, or hit me up on Twitter, I’m more than happy to have a chat there.
