Best Comic Book movie trailer of 2015?

So 2015 is almost gone and it won’t be long before we start to get into the major comic book movies of 2016. As the first, being Deadpool, is less than 2 months away with the rest only to follow suite, it only makes sense that the major studios would release promotional content in order to boost our excitement and drive more traffic to their movies. With that being said, which was the best trailer of 2015? There a number of contenders for this prestigious award, and some that are very different from others, so what in your opinion has been the best and got you blood pumping. Now I’ll let you know what my favourites have been and what my least favourites have been, but this does not mean that have not liked any this year, I’ve just liked some more than others, so I’ll start with my least favourites. The trailers that just haven’t cut it as much as other for me this year are definitely X-Men: Apocalypse, and the second full trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Now don’t get me wrong, I do like these trailers and I will definitely be checking these movies out opening day, and probably in IMAX, but in comparison to the other stellar trailers they were my least favourite.

The BvS trailer really showed too much away for me, and granted there could be even bigger surprises in the movie that we just don’t know about, as it stands I would like not to have know what they showed. Shed about 20 – 30 seconds off that trailer and it would have been a lot better in my opinion, but who knows maybe this is just a spec of what is on offer come March. The X-Men trailer was just a little bit off for me, and I can’t quite put my finger on it. I did enjoy it, and I’m sure the movie will be awesome following Days of Future Past and with Singer at the helm, but this initial trailer just did not cut the mustard.

Now with the remainder (Deadpool, BvS Comic Con trailer, Captain America: Civil War, and Suicide Squad), these are all pretty close for the title, but my heart and my head has go to with Deadpool, with the other 3 all tied in a very, VERY close second. Sure all of these trailers built up the hype and the excitement and the anticipation perfectly, and made me feel very different things, but there is just a special place in my heart for Deadpool, and I think this movie and the crew behind it will do it justice. It is different from any other comic book movie we have seen, and probably will see until the sequel or X-Force gets announced, and that is why it stands out from the others. Deadpool is one of my favourite heroes and characters just in general, and his stories also make me smile and laugh, but at the same time full of action and suspense. Like I said I’m not diminished the other trailers, Civil War is probably going to be the best Marvel movie to date based on that trailer, and the DC movies are certainly establishing themselves as big players, with the two most iconic heroes of all time on screen for the first time, as well as the bran new Clown Prince of Crime. Deadpool won’t only deliver a kick-ass, stellar action/comic book movie, but also bring so much joy into the hearts of millions.
